Adobe Creative Cloud Storage Explained

Every Creative Cloud All Apps plan includes cloud storage, but it’s easy to misunderstand what it’s actually for and how fast it fills up.

How much you get

The All Apps plan includes 100GB, shared across all your Creative Cloud apps and synced files — not a separate allowance per app.

What actually uses it

• Cloud-synced Lightroom photos (especially full-resolution RAW files)
• Cloud documents you save directly from Photoshop, Illustrator etc.
• Creative Cloud Libraries (shared assets, colour palettes, fonts)
• Files backed up through the Creative Cloud desktop app

What doesn’t use it

Files you save locally to your own hard drive don’t count against your Creative Cloud storage — only what you deliberately sync or store in the cloud does. Lightroom Classic in particular stores photos on your own drive by default, not in the cloud.

Running out of space

Heavy RAW photo syncing or large video project files can fill 100GB faster than expected. If that happens, the fix is usually to store finished/archived work locally and keep only active projects synced, rather than paying for extra storage on top of your subscription.
