How to Receive and Activate Your Licence
This page explains what happens after you buy from Office Digital, and where to find the right installation and activation steps for your product.
Step 1: Receive your licence key
- After your payment is confirmed, your product key and instructions are sent by email to the address you used at checkout. Delivery details are in our Digital Delivery policy.
- You can also find your orders in My account, or look one up with Track your order.
- Can’t see the email? Check your spam or promotions folder first.
Step 2: Install and activate your product
Microsoft Office (2021, 2024, Visio, Project)
- Redeem your key at setup.office.com with your Microsoft account.
- Download and install Office from account.microsoft.com/services.
- Open Word or Excel and sign in with the same account to activate.

Windows 11
- Open Settings, then System, then Activation.
- Select Change product key and enter your 25-character key.
- Follow the prompts. Keep your PC connected to the internet.
Windows 10
- Open Settings, then Update & Security, then Activation.
- Select Change product key and enter your key.

Step 3: If activation fails
- Check that the key matches the exact product and edition you installed.
- Make sure your PC date, time and internet connection are correct.
